The TRUTH is that the Q3 report shows a rise in handset sales.
The HUGE PROFIT that phone makers rip-off the consumers , to get down - is not smth that we should worry about. Right? (it was same with every new tech product)
We must welcome Samsung for that: selling more and best smartphones with less rip-off. .

Congratulations on another blow-out quarter, Samsung! Your phones are amazing! Naturally, everyone is jealous of your innovation, massive marketshare, crushing sales, huge profits, and excellent product range. But they should know not to wake the sleeping giant. Sammy won't play nice if threatened!

I am still waiting for my Galaxy Note Edge to arrive. Hopefully I can order it before the end of the year so that I can continue to enjoy Samsung innovation.

They think Apple is the main threat... pour tons of resources to battle them.. Did not see Xiaomi creeping behind them until its too late. Got a massive backstab from Xiaomi list of cheap phones, lost their focus suddenly and finally overpowered by Apple's new products.

And now Apple and Xiaomi share "squashed Samsung juice".

i have never been a samsung user...but based on my friends review or even on this page...i see people sayinf that their phones reboots...battery issues,.. and few screen issues...lag and many others...but most on them on mid range devices...i think samsung should provide an options to choose between stock vanilla and their stock modified firmaware....insted of releasing too many cell phones all based on the same harware but changing name dpending of the market...

No surprise here. Samshung is and always will be an Apple wannabe Asian copycat. They deserve it, anyway. Stealing is never a factor for long-term success.

am an samsung Mobile user last 10 yrs, samsung want to improve many things in mobile segments, 1.android os update regularly 2.ram & Rom increase in under 20k mobiles regularly. 3. compare with other mobile companies samsung should analyse the +ves & -ves how to overcome there . 4. compare with other service centres, in samsung service centres most of the people's are there for complaints, samsung should notice it. 5. Battery capacity's should improved on the basis of screen sizes. Thank you.

basically what sammy does copying others ( like touch id from apple and ip67 from sony ) or working on rumored products ..

samsung killed other oems by offering the products at cheaper price with less quality..
but when sammy tried itself to be a premium brand it killed itself

in india i rarely see people using galaxy s4 or s5 .. but i can many using s3 ..
people who can pay more will always choose iPhones over overpriced gaalxies

Samsung suffered a 73.9% drop. What a spectacular dropping in the business. No Samsung fan to support the lost.

                                1. The Galaxy S5 failed to help
                                2. The Galaxy Note 4 very short life in profits with monsters like the Moto Nexus 6 already out of stock, the Droid Turbo insane battery 3900mAh for 48h, Huawei Ascend Mate 7 sell more than 1 millions already, HTC One M8 Maxx, LG G3 and more the Galaxy Note 4 have short life.
                                3. Most of Chinese phone maker controlled the market which is the most important after the USA like Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo.
                                4. Xiaomi Now The World’s Third Biggest even surpassed LG and sitting just behind Apple.
                                5. The useless and lagging Touchwiz UI and most of useless Samsung applications are memory hungry leading to bad performance, bad optimization for a very bad experience.
                                6. Leaving some high end phone like the GS3 in the dark of no update making customers to go for another than Samsung.
                                7. Over pricing the phone even when there are not good enough.
                                8. Nokia congratulate you for start losing and inviting you for so much lost in Q4.

This is the consequence of the insane price war. Samsung killed all japanese TV manufacturers, but in the fight they introduced 0% profit on their own TVs- and now the customers got accustomed to those ultra low prices, therefore they are not willing to pay higher prices.

They did the same with the smartphone industry- they started manufacturing the galaxy s1 to compete apple, but all they achieved is the current situation. Im using samsung- I love my note 3 - but its eighter a company is like apple where they sell premium segmented products for a premium thin layer of customers, or they sell the usual average mediocre phones, for which they buy parts from other manufacturers - basically a marketing company. Samsung does heavy R&D plus heavy marketing. For that to work you also need profit, but for that you need higher margins. Samsung killed many rivals, but also bled out...

Samsung needs to honour the customers not forget there customers a happy past sale would only have a potential for another sale in the future.

Point blank what did you do to the S3 users? Remember? Learn your lesson Samsung or else you'll have to cry more. My s3 is heating insanely at times, am I a happy customer? Samsung had the opportunity to make it but instead the barged out.

                                    Make your customers happy, Samsung!

Its high time for samsung to build a decent low mid range device so that it can compete in indian markets.. 768 ram in a 180$ phone whereas other local companies are providing 1 or 2 GB ram. Wake up sammy.

This is great news actually. Samsung needs a wake-up call. They have 3 smartphone lines (Galaxy S, Galaxy Alpha, A3/A5/A7) and insane prices, as well as lying to their customers with the "metal clad" phones when their backs are still plastic !
