yeip, 30 Oct 2014"Most people" sounds like BS unless you have recent statistics to back that up. Any... more"Apple rakes in more profits from its iPhones than all Android phones combined, despite the fact that Android phones command an 81 per cent market share to Cupertino's 12.1 per cent."

Do the math, most of the profits comes from high end phones, if anyone else than samsung hardly making profit selling all of their phones, then clearly their high end phones doesnt sell almost at all and now even samsung high end sales are going down big time. Sametime Apple selling more and more iPhones.

Its pretty safe to say that most of sold highend phones are iPhones.

Windows Phone isn't decline.. There is no major new device announce at this quarter. Also the partnership deal of Nokia and Microsoft takes some time.

            WP slowly dying, again.

I see chinese manufacturers are getting innovative and very competitive, which is kind of killing the bigger brands. Problem is, if the big companies dies off, will these chinese brands still be able to innovate? We know for a long time that these manufacturers just mix and match designs and engineering from other brands.

proof is in the figures. Android is the best OS in the world. As i work in the mobile industry. Majority of people tend to buy Android. And if they do buy an IOS device. it tends to be for the higher end of the market people. Plus you can get a budget iphone decent specced, for less than £150, again that says it all.

Not a surprise, Android is the best mobile OS for me - I'll keep on buying Android-phones in future.

The good is that if one OS must dominate that it then is the FOSS (Free Open Source Software) one. Perfect. And thank you Microsoft/Ballmer for missing the opportunities to dominate the internet as well as mobile among others. Because if you hadn't then we'd all be living in a straight jacket now.

I also use both, but just switched back to the iPhone 6+ as my daily phone.

Best phone I have ever had and iOS 8 is a little better than Kit Kat, for me.

I use both iOS and Android but Android looks more modern and has better usability and services. Furthermore, while Android gets better and faster with every release, iOS gets buggier and laggier such as going from iOS 6 to 7 and moreso from 7 to 8.
