Now with Android smart watches, Apple see another "opening" and again its products are the costliest
The fact that they will need to be charged daily (and knowing Apple owners this WON'T prevent them from using it whilst on charge) really shows how impractical the device is

Short answer if you have a phone why do you need a watch?

If you want class, you go for A. Lange & Sohne, Breguet or Patek Philippe. If you want accuracy and low maintenance, go for Casio. Rolex spends more on marketing than all the other watch brands together, they make almost a million watches a year, and they are perceived as a brand for used car salesmen who want to show off. Shortly, people who buy a Rolex would buy an iPhone too, but having said that, why would they need an Apple watch too?

I love how people here bash these prices, but to me they seem so much more reasonable than the prices of watches that just tell the time.
Hublot and Rolex could throw 35,000 price tags at you for watches that simply tell the time but Apple can't give you a piece of gold for 7 times less the price without you complaining.

Sadly the status symbol are favored mostly by people who don't have much of status.
