Don't have anything against high resolutions, what Google must do now is include a control to switch resolution like in PC Windows. Or if Google doesn't the manufacturers should. Not only for the home screens, but also like an open g/directx, so you can choose the 3d rendering and video player (full screen in the phone) resolutions too.

    That will definitely help IMO

AnonD-326248, 07 Nov 2014Its CPU that run screen res not gpuWOW,
may i ask you when was the last time you read about rendering?
for your clearance it's all on GPU.
& it's only gpu which indicates what would be the max resolution &
how many displays can be run with that resolution(on computers).

i'm pretty sure there are many Samsung fan boys out there who claim then can tell the difference between 4k 6" & 1080 6",& say that's necessary for daily use & gives WOW experience.
          700+ ppi???? = useless
you really can't tell the difference even on recent laptops with 4k in comparison with 1080.
          on a 6"!!!!!
common guys make they battery better that would be much more appreciated among REAL users(fan boys excluded).

looks like samsung is going to drive itself into an early grave with idiotic moves like this. Hopefully consumers are educated on how pointless it is to have such a high rez screen like this on 6 inch screen.

Just shut your ppi up it worth nothing , from 720p we have a really good screen , nothing will differ for us , 1080p is the best choice for most ppl , u just will have to drain battery faster ,and lots of hiccups while pushing lots of pixels -_-

Auto-hiding buttons is an extra annoyance. The buttons are intended to be STATIC and OFF SCREEN.

So this is another Samsung phone (again) that won't be able to run games without LAG, due to the crap high screen resolution. Shame.

AnonD-221839, 07 Nov 2014And we will need a 980 GTX or Titan Z to game in 4k, so welcome 2 hours of gaming battery life. Its more like 2 seconds at 600W on such GPUs, but I agree 4K is overkill on a small display - My eyes can't even see the pixels!
