Moto G 1st gen will be getting android lollipop soak test on novenmber 14 in india according to motorola customer care.
Moto G 2nd GEN will be getting Android L update by the end of the year according to motorola customer care.

Update Timelines for Motorola Phones:
Moto X (2nd Gen) - By 30th Nov
Moto G (2nd Gen) - By 30th Nov
Moto X (1st Gen) - By 15/20 Dec
Moto G (1st Gen) - By 20 Dec.
Since the motorola phones in India are Dual Sim, it requires sometime to implement the dual sim functionality. SO there will be a delay from 15 days to a month as compared to US unlocked phones, since they are Single Sim.
