You can update your Nexus 5 to Android Lollipop 5.0 in India without wiping your data..all you have to do is download the nexus 5 ota update zip file from AndroidPolice.com. Make sure you download the right zip file according to your build number..You can check your build number by going to settings>About phone> Build Number..The video on how to install it in your Nexus 5 is linked to this comment "http://youtu.be/uvch38KDmTk".
How ever youl need to install SDK tools on your PC..how to do that is giving in the description on the video link I posted..! So go on guys..install your android lollipop update without wiping out your phones data..Good day :) Vinu (Bangalore/India)

Today's Android L update is only for devices with build number “LRX21O”.Others will get after 2-3 days.

Positives:
Excellent user interface
Lock screen notifications
Very smooth and amazing feel


Drawbacks
Gallery application missing
Number of applications do not support android l e.g. my mx player crashed
