Just got a notification from the Nexus Update Checker saying that a new version of android had been found. LRX210, about 500mb in size. It has a download option available (wish I could post a pic here) but it is asking for permission to root... Not sure if I should go ahead with it.

Guys, I've had loads of nexus devices over the years. It could take as long as a couple of weeks. Its normally been between 2-3 weeks for me in the UK.
I don't know why everyone's so excited, its only the same as 4.4.4 with a few minor tweaks. It won't do anything kitkat doesn't do.

I already changed the runtime to ART on my nexus 7 and used it for months that way and got no problems.

Settings/apps/all apps / google framework/ first clear cache then force stop n then disable it ...restart device .
Again go to google framework/ disabled apps / enable
Now go to about / system update / check ..whooop.. Android 5.0 is there 389.2 mb for nexus 7 2013 ....enjoy ..!!!
N I also say who does not get it can get through these steps ..followed thoroughly ..☺
