Romin, 13 Nov 2014If you update via using factory image your phone will be formatted so wait for the ota update You have a choice to not wipe all your data during flash but not advisable because its not a clean flash.but for me, its ok as long as i get the latest official update...

The update will take time to reach out to all the nexus 5 devices in India. Be patient. Shoudn't take more than a day i guess.

I live in the states and I have a nexus 5. I am just wondering if I will be able to receive the L update even though I am rooted. Also if I should be able to should I have already received the update already?

No need to wait for OTA. Download the image from the link and flash it. From India no issues found as of.

It is so pity to see all of us (even I own a nexus 5) waiting for OTA where my friends get updates instantly from apple and laughing at me (android fanboy). I am glad if it reaches to any good guy who can do some thing about it.
