I have a nexus 5 and trust me lollipop isn't worth the hype. It isn't all that great. The icons are so large as if we ppl are blind.. Der r some cartoony animations. There isn't ant improvement in performance or battery life. I'm myself using nova launcher despite having lollipop and wish i cud downgrade back to kitkat

Coming to the point, Lollipop won't slow down your phone.Its all optimized to run smoothly.Moreover, if Lollipop update is coming low-end devices like Moto E and Android One then Moto G shouldn't face hiccups at all.
