Windows 10 will not be free on PCs and the update will probably again effect the battery life of mobile devices negatively. I probably won't update - unless there's some nag screen every time I unlock my phone.

I guess the Windows 8 flagship launch smartphone, aka HTC Windows Phone 8X, will not be so lucky? There is still no sign of an official WP 8.1 upgrade for it.

Hmm, but phones will only use the "metro" part, right? If not, then i gotta admit, this is huge, having a fully functional desktop os on your mobile device. But metro apps suck and so does the policy behind it (One store and nothing else)

yeah, just organize the menu. scrolling isnt fun at all.. got lumia 1020, if it isnt for the camera, ive sold it and get s5.
