Anonymous, 18 Nov 2014SIMPLE... Apple care about their customers. Eventhough their customers have a 3 yr old phone ... moreEven in updates, apple's strategy seems to be to make money by making them unstable so that customer would be tempted to buy latest model. After IOS 8 update, my ipad air has become unstable. With IOS7, it never crashed. Now, crashes are norm few times a week. Isn't that the purpose of OS updates from apple? Based on my personal experience, that is the only conclusion I can make.

After IOS 8 update, my ipad air has become unstable and shuts down on its own few times. I have never faced this issue with Moto G though. Stable updates are more important, than updating a device for the heck of updating.

hope this improves my iPad 3 it's pretty much useless since iOS 8 and I don't like the idea of a new iPad Air just because I can't downgrade to 7

Btw there are very little issues with the 5 and 5s running iOS 8. 5s have no lag the same with the 5.

Kawasaki Ninja 250? That silly bike doesn't even deserve the name Ninja, a sportbike wanna-be with upright ridding position, look at Aprillia RS4-125 and Yamaha YZF-R125, they have proper ridding position as sportbikes eventough their engine displacement is so damn small, I know that in some place on earth Kawasaki Ninja 250 is considered as high-end sportbike.

The instability of older device is continually patched by apple, cant your read in the this article? And by the way, supported iDevices received full latest version of iOS sans hardware limited feature like NFC mobile payment of Apple Pay, 60fps 1080p, 240fps slomo while everything else is present. Your belief is wrong, ; )

Dot-WiFi, 18 Nov 2014whats the point apple release new device if old device can perform like new device ? SIMPLE... Apple care about their customers.
Eventhough their customers have a 3 yr old phone but Apple still want to feel their customers that they are not left behind.

Apple care to let the customer experience the smoothness of the new IOS not like Android where other customers left behind stock on the old OS.

There are some android cust who buy a non flagship android phone and its stock to its old OS and they cannot upgrade. Especialy phone that is under ICS, cannot upgrade to the new OS release.

Regardless the limitations, all manufacturers tend to push their user to update to the latest product (H/W), not just OS. Somehow OS updates feel like gimmicky. Don't be stupid, we're being fooled.
