Actually its the competitor of iPhone 5, now, lets compare the performance of s3 and iPhone 5 now or even 4S.

u know phone called galaxy nexus? researched it before commenting without fact.
and apple released ios8 for 4s just for the name, so that they can say they updated their 3 year phone with latest update. u think 4s is as smooth as 5 when running ios8?
Accept the fact that ios8, even ios7 make 4s run slow and laggy.
That is also the reason why google stop updating galaxy nexus, beside of the driver from chip provider.

I will tell you. THERE IS NO ANDROID DEVICE 3 years old, and running latest android. Hard to see running 4.3.
