Preety decent figures from Nokia, especially the increased market share for both normal phones and smart phones.

I know the Nokia haters are disgusted and bewildered by this as they always fantasise about Nokia's demise. Well, keep dreaming!!!.

I now await the Nokia haters to come in with their usual ill informed comments, and will obviously deal with them by throwing facts at them...

They are the same in fact, Engadget's posting Year on Year comparisons, which is not practical, since 2009 was the year the mobile phone industry felt the impact of the recession. GSMArena's comparison is between the first and second quarters of 2009, which is more reasonable.

It's all over the net----"Nokia announced 66 percent yearly drop in Q2 profit while lowering its 2009 market share target for its cellphones"

How come there is no mention of it in GSMarena??? What does it mean by "their operating profit went up by almost 51%"?
