Lead2XL, 21 Nov 201410 years is not at all ambitious or unrealistic. Why not 5 years or even 3?5 or 3 years is unrealistic. But then again, an unknown vompany that didn't even have a product until three years ago to dominate the market and rivel Samsung and Apple is also ambitious an unrealistic but it happened ;)

AnonD-244037, 21 Nov 2014What...Xiaomi No.1 in the next 5 to 10 years. Congratulations to them, unless Apple or Samsung... moreSorry no chance for Xiaomi Nokia is back and in smartphone they are coming real soon in 2016 so No chance for xiaomi. Even Samsung will fall. After all Nokia is the name for phones and if they enter in market with Android no other Android manufacturer will stand. We saw it before with symbian and wp.

AnonD-159864, 22 Nov 2014Xiaomi provide very nice phone, but redmi 1s apps not move to SD card, this is biggest problem... moreuse link2sd. use minipartition tool. in micrsd, create two partition ; 1)fat32, primary, this one for videos, music, in all it will be visible to you. 2)fat32, ext2, this one for apps

after that use link2sd, phone should be rooted. for this use update.zip from mi forums. link2sd will automatically detect ext2 partition and move all your apps to them ,even automatically.

They sure would be, and fyi (to the person who said they dont make much profit) say it takes 30$ for xiaomi to make a phone(pff lol idts) and samsung makes the same for 40$(actually samsung's would cost less because they make everything themselves) now xiaomi sells their phone for say 100$ (= 70$ profit), and samsung sells for say 250$ (=210$ profit).but samsung spends almost a 100$ on marketing(you know adds and stuff). now profit=110$. now there are other costs like paying employess and duties , for a company like xiaomi it would take say 30$ so now pure profit=40$. but for a huge company like samsung it would cost 60$, now pure profit=50$.
Now do you really think xiaomi is selling phones with a loss ?
Dude just root your phone, then you can move apps to sd card.

Modo, 21 Nov 2014Fix your buggy MIUI first !MIUI running on a native Xiaomi device is solid. The ROM on other devices has a glitch here and there, but is by far the most stylized Android build there is. iPhone is boring beyond belief in comparison.

They have to. Since their profit margins are so low, they got to sell as many as possible. Unlike most others who cant control their cost and greed, hence loot their customers.

Expensive phone is not premium .iphone 5s BOM is just $199. Probably less than xiaomi . Time has changed and people understand those things.

I'll take these words as mere high hopes unless Xioami bring the mi4 to southeast Asia. We are considerably closest region to China yet so hard to buy their flagship phones here.

I'm not taking on Xiaomi's side but can you haters just shut up first and use your brains for once.
If ever the company becomes no. 1 then you haterd would just eat your words and come on you're not the ones buying their phones. If they make phones with quality equivalent to your fave brands like Samsung, LG, Sony, or Apple and price them so low will make you rethink that buying premium doesn't mean you have to pay a premium price. It's a new company so give the little guy a chance and please stop making up stories like the other brands paid you to do so.
