What...Xiaomi No.1 in the next 5 to 10 years. Congratulations to them, unless Apple or Samsung do not innovate and goes the way of Nokia.

Cheap phones will mean higher quantity. Yes the bulk is high but that doesnt mean the quality is there. How can you be a number 1 smartphone company when the only thing you look at is number of phones instead of quality and innovation.

Plus, in 10 years the labour cost will increase meaning no more sales.

Why? Let me explain the reasons (Ooops, reason). Because?
Xiaomi is CHEAP (if you buy the phone cheaply, you don't care about future OS updates etc.). When you are bored, you just throw it away and buy a new phone. If the phone is cheap but doing the job perfectly, your expectations are very low. You don't become angry when it brokes down. You just replace it. So simple.
If others are trying to compete with Xiaomi, they have to sell phones CHEAP. Do you hear Samsung & HTC?

Not possible with the limited market they have targeted. They need to sell phones everywhere to achieve this.

If they continue their high-specs-low-price policy with proper costumer support and expand their market immediately, they'll definitely get there within the next two years, not five, let alone ten. Guaranteed.

I personally think they could do it in less than 10 years.. With their kind of marketing strategy and the quality of their products they could do it in just three years..

I just asked everyone in my office, and no one pronounced it properly. 2 think it was jibberish and passed altogether.

As a native English speaker I've had no problems with pronunciation of any other manufacturer. Huawei is a weird one to say too though.
