AnonD-59657, 21 Nov 2014No update for Desire 816 and One Max?All android vendors (except motorola and nexus) don't update the os on their mid and low end devices. And if they do, the only update it until up to a year from the release date. Next time u buy phone, you have 2 options:
1. Buy nexus or motorola.
2. Buy windows phone device. It's still receiving os update even after 3 years from the release date. Last time i heard, all wp 8 devices will be upgraded to wp 10 next year.

You guys didn't actually think HTC was going to release it today? I use an M8 but I have no faith in HTC as a company. Purchasing a Nexus device is the only way to be guaranteed timely updates.

I have a job, I'm actually a software engineer, and alongside, I'm a short film maker and a musician. Trust me, I've got enough funds. But that doesn't mean I'll willy-nilly go ahead and buy any damn thing in the market.
