This is what happened for samsung, they sell with their name average products and clearly users didnt liked it because their sales are going down big time, other hand iPhone sales are higher every q than year before. So you see the product have to be great to maintain sales or growing the sales.

But according to the latest samsung smartphone sales. It didn't quite change since last years galaxy S4's. Just because samsung does have note edge doesn't mean it will sell well.
