Still waiting for those cheap tablets on full Windows priced 150 below to arrive on my country's shelves. I have yet to see HP sell their Streams here. I believe Emdoor would not be available to more markets, so I take it, Emdoor's full Windows tablets won't be beaching our shores. The only available full Windows-ed tablets with sub-par prices (at approximately $177 and $266) are locally branded products

Are you telling us that you watch 4K content on a tablet? 4K content is pretty scarce and if you still happen to find some content, the storage space required will be huge. I have seen people having high resolution screens just for the sake of specs and they end up watching 720p content just because of the space constraint. Believe me, 720p movies are definitely watchable at a screen of that size.
I am not saying this resolution is enough. It could have been better. But at that asking price, you really can't complain much.

In China, it will sell like hot cakes.
This will fill the secondary market where most of them are low to middle class.
In other countries, because of its OS, people will buy it as a spare tablet at home for kids or replace ur 1gen ipad or old samsung tab.
No doubt, it is attractive, I will buy one for sure even i have a ipad air 2 already.

and yes 4k on tablets is necessary for some of us who hate blury images and sub-par video playback on tabs. besides qualcom has revealed the next gen tab tech sample and yes 4k is the recomended resolution for tabs at this range in size brainwashed or not be honest with ur self looking at bad displays is frustrating when looking for small details on images.
pump up the resolution on next gen tabs tech manufacturers!!!!

It costs less than half but have similar hardware spec like in iPad Mini3.

It would be easy to shrink the 9.2 inches display to 4.5 inches while keeping the resolution at 720p and rest of the specs same.

Because you have superhuman eyesight or something?
720p is sufficient for a 9" device and it is unlikely that anyone would notice a difference between 720p and 1080p, unless you are looking at the screen from 5", or with a magnifying glass.
You are a good example of how well advertising can confuse the less knowledgable consumers and why companies have been doing 4k screens on 5" phones...
