i wonder if this would come out around the same time as the satio. i might acutally consider this
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2009SE really needs to release more phones like this and fast cos they hv been losing market share... moreNo, that's why it'll probably use Android 2.0 (which is said to support higher resolutions, it should be released this year).
Other than that, this phone looks very interesting, and if there aren't any Nvidia Tegra devices launched by the end of this year, I might get this.
curly, 21 Jul 2009its good but n97 is much betterWhat a mor*nic comment. Care to explain why N97 is better than this? It has got everything better than N97,but if you want to live in your fantasy nokia land and talk crap all the time..its ur choice.
curly, 21 Jul 2009its good but n97 is much betterany reason?
smaller screen with less resolution
n97 only has a qwerty keyboard and (presumably) more internal memory
this pic seems like a fake to me.
it doesnt hv all the buttons the other android phones have
the ui displayed in the image looks like satio/idou which looks nothing like the leaked ui of rachael
also android doesnt support that resolution
wat about x2?
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2009SE should have RACHAEL in two flavors. One running ANDROID and the other one WINMO. There, the... moreNo they shouldnt. Windows Mobile is terrible. Get over it.
I enjoy using my fingers as opposed to using a stylus or my fingernails with WinMo. Stop living in the past.
854x480 is not a wierd resolution. it is Full Wide VGA or FWVGA. Its in the same 16:9 aspect ratio as nHD, 1080p and 720P.
Sony Ericsson will take the crown from Samsung, well done!!!!:D
SE really needs to release more phones like this and fast cos they hv been losing market share for a long time now
im a bit uncertain of those specs cos the current android doesnt support that resolution. (at least i dont think so)
also wat happened to xperia x2 if this is x3?
1 they release it soon enough unlike idou/satio
2 it has a capacitive touchscreen (which i think would be a first for SE)
3 large internal memory because android doesnt officially allows users to save apps to memory cards yet

Application store will be from the Android OS, not Sony Ericson themselves.
It looks like the I-phone 3GS may finally have some real competition. I wonder if Sony can deliver an equal online applications experience. Doubt it.
