It is normal when people have ipad 4 and ipad air that are working great and no need to change for a new model or worst
"2014 could be the first year in which iPad sales decline". Which means more and more persons realise apple is nothing more than an ordinary tablet, with one big difference, its shameless price.
People who like tablets already have one. It's very unlikely that they'd buy one every year or even every other year when all the average consumer does is check email, browse websites and stream a few videos a day. Those that are interested in using tablets as gaming devices are buying tablets with game-centric specs. I think most tech-heads are spending their dollars on wearables right now. The future is phablets and wearables.

A tablet is for fun ( I think majority thinks alike),if you want all that crap like multitasking,s pen or whatever buy a laptop.
btw I think whole market is becoming oversaturated and cheap Chinese stuff keep coming. Not only apple even Samsung,HTC and others should worry about that
Anonymous, 25 Nov 2014Consumers are smarter and realize that iPad is an overpriced limited consumption device. Even... moreAnd yet it sells a LOT more than anyone else, maybe you didnt read the actual news? :)
By the way iOS have best stulys collection available, so i dont think digital pen is problem for anyone. Who even uses digital pen, except artists?

Read the news properly, also check the headlines of other news sites.
The ENTIRE tablet market is suffering, from 50% growth last year, down to only 7% growth this year, but of course only Apple is doomed.
If only headlines weren't so sensationalists, and readers actually *gasp* ... read!
I'm buying the Asus fonepad 7 2014 and I'm gonna use it as a phablet only to use my smartphone for calls
Consumers are smarter and realize that iPad is an overpriced limited consumption device. Even basic browsing with Safari lags, reloads and freezes and iOS 8 is the buggiest to date. It also lacks useful features like precision pen and split screen multitasking capability.
If your tablet works for what you want it to do, why would you replace it? They are too expensive to replace without a compelling reason.
If they had improve the iPad Mini 3 like iPad Air 2, this would not have happened.
The entire tablet space is declining, not just the iPad. Sales are down across the board.
Well, I own a tablet, a smartphone and a desktop PC (plus laptop for work) and to be honest I see the tablet as more of a toy than anything truly useful. Don;t get me wrong, it does get used, but all the other devices could do the jobs I 'conveniently' use the tablet for.
I think the analysts can add those interested in tablets have pretty much brought one, everyone else just does not see the need!
