Iphone 5 wasnt hated on like the 5c is.....and for the colour im pretty sure Ipods/Lumia have that problem....its just the sad little world we live in that because its not a "premium handset" its crap??? As i said in my first comment...majority of users will not care about a slightly faster chipset, Ram etc...they want an IPHONE that does IPHONE things!

I don't get it either, as I think the 5C is an ok looking device and performed it's job, a like-for-like replacement of the 5 in Apple's range, pretty well, but it became a popular hate figure and that's how we are where we are now.

Gsmarena, if you want international readers, stop acting like the USA is the only country in the world and life $99 is the real new value of an iPhone. Just a little perspective on an article like adding "in the US" or "on contact" here and there makes a huge difference. Without it an article can come across very narrow minded.

... moreAs far as how Apple has gone in the past, the one year old model becomes the mid range, the two year old model becomes the entry level.
I doubt that they would make the iPhone 6 the entry level phone next year, after only one year.
So, next year: Flagship - iPhone 6S & iPhone 6S Plus
Mid-range: iPhone 6/6 Plus (They may decide to keep only one model, I think they will get rid of 6 Plus, maximizing sales of 6S Plus)
Entry level: iPhone 5s (The two year old model at that point)

The moment you bump out 5c, all the in production models are 64bit.. And they have 5s to become the entry level..
This way apple will be able to push for the app devs to go 64bit sooner..

... moreYes 2015 is everyone going armv8 except apple because apple went v8 like last year..
Though i don't see "everyone" using the 64bit processors in android which will more fragmentation.. So many apps are going to be built 32bit which won't give much performance boost on a 64 bit system sadly..
I see 6 and 6+ being continued as separate product lines.. Like Samsung S and Note. So 6 and 6+ will both go mid range..

Raj, 26 Nov 2014No surprise, the 5C was honestly a waste.
They should have just kept the iPhone 5 and made ... moreiPhone 5c introduce a lot of LTE bands and fixed a lot of production issues. My employee had between 40-50% failure rate and the local stores stopped ordering the iPhone 5. The 4s was purchased until the 5c came out.
I see more 5c in the wild than any other model.

In the philippines, they're still selling iphone 4s..... and why don't apple discontinue 4s instead of 5c.

There is a reason that they are discontinuing the iphone 5c. Its because they recently did an update that makes the iphone a very expensive paper weight. This is the second time that this has happened, with their stance being, here is the ways to fix it good luck because your are going to need it. IE we have no idea how to revive the phone, but we don't care we got your money already.
