Yeah except that only by that time pass this current 6 and 6+, Apple can only push the max ceiling RRPs so far if 5S really is gonna be turned to an "entry level" iPhone. 6 being the entry level sounds like a more sensible approach because there's gonna be 6S and 6S+ the way things are going. Which is still risking it considering that if they stick to their "just notch the RAM up" strategy, then 6S isn't gonna be that much more of a compelling upgrade against 6 the way 6 vs. 5S is (or was).
2015 is the year for everything else other than iPhone going ARMv8 gen buddy a whole other level of fight there.

How is it that after 7-8 years people still don't understand the iPhone model system.
This year iPhone 6 launched. It is the flagship.
The 5s becomes the mid-range.
The 5c becomes the entry level.
Next year, the 6s will be the flagship, 6 the mid-range and 5s the entry level.

Could have sold well if apple actually sold it as the cheap low end phone it is but they got greedy as always and put a way to high a price tag on it.

Apple intentions were not right, selling a cheap handset at premium rates is not a good idea, that too targeting price sensitive developing markets like india. We better go with iphone 5 or 5s.

unreliable source, 26 Nov 2014Is this the phone with high quality plastic? then still plastic..Apple did such a good hatchet job thrashing plastic covered phones even those who lived in the orchard world rather bankrupt themselves and buy the metal covered iPhone than buy a plastic covered iPhone made by Apple.
As long as it's has the Apple logo and is in metal (premium?) it really does nig matter if all Apple do is repackage and resells the same phone but with a larger display.
All 2 years has gotten upgrading to the same phone but bigger!

No surprise, the 5C was honestly a waste.
