Deepak97, 28 Nov 2014Grand prime is a superb phone now prices are droping form 15.5k to 13.5k....ya its a superb phone for now. But when you realize it wont be getting much updates, you will realize its not so good.

I know bcos I own a samsung. Even if they provide an update lets say jellybean, but they will try hard to put the old interface to this new update. So that you will be bored like hell with the phone and keep buying new smartphones every year.

Chinese manufacturer low end starts with HD screen, snapdragon 400 at 100$ and Samsung wants to compete with 480p, some obscure chipset at similar price range or a 450$ metal frame phone of same specs.

Even for a low-end phone, rez could be much better. Both Alcatel Evolves beat this.

Ahaha Samsung, if your (drunk) idea to counter that 50% drop in sales in China with phones like this you might as well bail out the country completely now to save money in the long run.

*off topic* can you guys help me with sth?I can't decide whether I should buy the Note 4 or wait for the galaxy s6.I really like the features offered by the n4 and I really want the s-pen.On the other hand I'm also very excited about the features(leaked ones) and of the s6 and the new processors(sd 810/exynos 7420) it will come with.Your opinion will be very much appreciated.Thank you.
P.S I also like to play a few heavy games on my phone.

A smartphone with a 64-bit quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, LTE and (supposedly) full HD video recording on both cameras is by no means a low-end device market-wise. I would say is a decent mid-range phone. The real low-end devices generally have dual-core, 512MB RAM, HSDPA, 2MP rear camera with VGA recording capabilities and lack 64-bit support.
IMHO, in the end, the price will determine if it is a budget mid-range phone or a very expensive average phone.
