Wishlist: 5.2-5.4" display(QHD), Same speakers, 16MP camera, Removable battery, microSD slot, USB 3.0, Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM, less bezels...
You kids should read the article better. This info is not so reliable, as the author said ("take it with a pinch of salt").
The M8 is the best phone I ever had in my hand, it's kinda hard to imagine the M9 being even better looking or faster!
Honestly, I think we have hit the ceiling of what all to add to our smartphones. UNLESS, our phones become our desktop as well, by just docking them into big displays, more true for Windows 10 devices. In that case, we need 64-bit processing and some more power. Also, we should just keep the resolution for regular smartphones @1080p and at 5.2 inch, instead focus on improvement in battery life.

android devices are technologically far better than ur bendphones , even 2yr older s4 has some advanced capabilities than ur iphone6 :D

The most expensive flagship android devices mostly receive OS upgra... moreI better enjoy 2 android decides for the same price then buy a single phone and stuck for 4 years with it cause in India a 64 gb iphone 6 costs around 70k rs approx in which I can have 2 flagship mobiles in android and still save money for my self so nop ur comment is not correct ios is not cheap
Today flagship = phablet. Even first Galaxy Note only has 5.3" screen.
please htc.. atleast 808 or 810 snapdragon processor .805 is not the latest
I need some advanced functionalities, that's why I prefer Android.
Swiping keyboard is an example which was not available for iPhone when I need new handset 7 months ago. Direction widget is still not available in iPhone too.
no need to upgrade @ 5.5 incheeeez....won't be handy...5.0 is best
Android vs iDevices:
1. The most expensive flagship android devices mostly receive OS upgrades until 2 year (except Nexus). After 2 years, u better buy new device.
2. iDevices receives OS upgrades until 4 years (iphone 4s which was released 4 years ago still receives ios 8.x)
3. So.. in 4 years u have to buy 2 android device to keep your os up-to-date.
4. 1 iDevice is cheaper than 2 flagship android devices.
Why QHD? 1080 is perfect.
I'm gonna apologize in advance but this will be constructive, from a non-HTC user who's also a fan of M8. At this point in time and no matter what "side specs" that HTC can improve on M9, if it's gonna be SD805 driven then you'd be better off with a Nexus 6 because that's the only Snapdragon 805 phone RIGHT NOW that can last you over 2 and half years from now if you can't be arsed to wait out for any other Cortex A53 or 57 based SoCs' phones.
Consider the likely expected RRP, possible HTC way of finalized batt capacity and unfortunately also their track record of per annum fw/Android ver upds.
imho HTC can afford to further delay the M9 for a bit and focus on pushing out the newer Desires 820 and 620 to more places instead. They need to also decide on "faddy" models like that Desire Eye, keep E8 or Butterfly in or out? and lower kits such as 612 and 510.
HTC name is soooo bad! See how they mock their competitors badly. please don't buy any phones from this evil company!
[deleted post]yep! it's just 60000 unique visitors in the most interest phone - the note 4. wait for the 1st quarter next year when the big OEMs release their new flagship - HTC M9, Samsung Galaxy S6, Sony Xperia z4 and so on... GSMArena then boosted again.

I'm impartial because I don't care who the mfgrs are, if I see a great phone then it's a great phone. The M8 is far from great.
When will these OEMs understand that there are many ppl out there who who still want a decent 4.5-4.7 inched flagship?!Xperia Z3 compact looks promising spec wise but i hate that scratchy back glass panel. And 5.5 inches is overkill for smartphones. You guys are blurring the lines between phablets and smartphones.Sigh.... time to get iphone perhaps :/
nickysor, 01 Dec 2014HTC one m8 is a very fast, with high performance. The looks is one of the best, sound incredib... moreYou see no failure because, as 90%+ of the users, youhave low standards and turn a blind eye on all disadvantages, or even take them as an advantage. PR/media also have something to do with this as they seem to have brainwashed people into overhyping every new shiny gadget and thinking of it as a peace of jewel
Anonymous, 01 Dec 2014With the nexus 6 having slim bezel with front facing stereo speakers, I'd laugh my @$$ off if ... moreHTC one m8 is a very fast, with high performance. The looks is one of the best, sound incredible, user interface is the best in android world...
Sure, they can improve, but I see no failure, and neither the specialized press which gave good reviews.
I have owned other brands too, but HTC is better.
M9 should be my phone next year for sure but if 5.2 inch QHD better than 5.5 inch
