I think this goes well with the rumors that Samsung will be packing 4K displays next year. Nothing out there is really suitable for 4K so they're making their own GPU.

Samsung Exynos is the best CPU in today's market but the problem with GPU, once this GPU sees the light Samsung will be unstoppable.

Ha, bet the GPU will have the same developer support as the chipset. The HD2 lived for 5 years while the GS3 will be lucky to get 4.

What! LOL this is crazy, Samsung a GPU, it will sure keep the courts busy until 2035 and beyond then, this can never end well, Samsung can never ever pull this off without stealing, and in any case it will be so incompatible that the Galaxy S Exynos incompatibility with most major Android apps back in 2010 will seem like a minor thing in comparison.

Even my Note 2 Exynos phone could never run any new games that was more advanced than Flappy Bird, the incompatibility issues were so severe that we often had to wait a few weeks or a month for the devs to rewrite released games for Exynos compatibility, and with inhouse GPU and/or inhouse CPU (God forbid, please have mercy on this world) those problems of the past will be like nothing. I mean, Exynos chips up until now has been ARM designs, there shouldnt be much compatibility issues but Samsung managed to make it a disaster still.

Samsung will make copy from and then they paid and voila we have our own GPU, very well planned.

They probably made some kind of agreement with nvidia.
