They are assuming too much, what about jolla, bb, and tizen? Aren't they going to experience growth as well? Besides if that project ara of google takes flight I wonder if wp will still stay relevant; I really like the idea of a modular phone, right now if I could swap the processor, ram and battery of my phone, I would, cause that's all I need to replace.

Day dreaming !!! If WP keeps being such a restricted os Ms will have to replace it soon. I wish Bill Gates will remember the success windows mobile 5, 6, 6.5 devices had and adopt their UI, features etc.
If for a company of the size of MS 5.4% is enough, i wouldn't wanted to be their shareholder and if i was i would have done my best to change this incapable and blind CEO

i bet WP will raise even much higher,
android = battery burn and ADSdroid
          iOS still better than android
but i bet WP will be the beast

What the hell man. First of all wp is too less. And what about BlackBerry they are rising too with the passport. These analyst are always of the mark.

We've been hearing this since 2011. In fact, wasn't it IDC who said WP would have 20 percent market share by the end of 2015?

Yet WP is still at 2.5 percent globally and falling.

5% is still much more than it deserves. If they reconsider their "Let's copy Apple's restrictive policy and make an even more restricted OS" policy, then i'll be glad if they make it past 10%, competition is always a good thing.

Less people buy flagship Windows phones.. They are overly expensive and boring... The cheap ones (less then a $100) are the reason why Windows phones are still afloat. I don't see Windows phones making any big splash in the foreseeable future... Except there is a radical redesign of the OS! .
