4 is too small. Motorola used to make 4.3 phones that are smaller than the 4 inch iPhone 5s. Shave those darn bezels, that's the ultimate mini. One handed use but not way too small.
4.7 for a regular phone (13x 6.5), 4.3 for a mini (12x6) and 5.5 for a big phone (14.5 X 7.5).
All android flagship are big nowadays, even iPhone is bigish these days. We need one handed use to comeback and big phones to be mostly screen like the LG G3, none of this 5 inch behemoths sponsored by HTC and Sony (relatively small screen in and no big chasis)

I really appreciate if other brands were to use 1080p resolutions on the new phones next year, there is no need for 2k resolution on 4" 5" or even 6" inches screens, other than have a lower fps and benchmark.

I hate apple for their pricing. But this move is awesome. There should be flagship in all sizes. Even a 4" screen. But if they cramp flagship specs into it the cost will be more the iPhone 6 or 6 plus. That's the main reason why most of the manufactures, don't want to make very small flagships. On the other hand buyers expect smaller price tag on small sized screen.
