AnonD-4340, 09 Dec 2014Can none of you read? They cannot update it, as that will cause legal issues with Micromax. The d*ck move by cyanogen is the exclusivity deal they made with micromax behind OnePlus' back..

You need to buy indian version.. its cheaper. Its the same hardware and you can MANUALLY update cyanogen software. Checkout xda developers after cm12s release

AnonD-45702, 09 Dec 2014What utter nonsense. They should give a final official word instead of playing ping-pong with ... moreOneplus have been clear about it from the time the announcement went public that Cyanogenmod made an exclusive deal with MicrotrashMax. It's cyanogenmod who have been playing with words and technicalities. PR damage control nothing more.

Oneplus is making it's own Lollipop based ROM to give users Motorola like experience. That's going to be pretty good as it is. Useful features like tap to wake and tap to sleep are easily done. You can also expect a better camera app from OPO than what cyanogenmod managed.

            Hello there ...

I own OnePlus One purchased in US and used in India. I have already got 2 CM updates 38R and 44S on the device and waiting for the lollipop CM updated which will come within 90 days of official release.

Cyanogen tried to hide the truth and the news sites misinterpreted their blog post.
So One Plus was not playing pingpong with your expectations. You were believing the people who made a b*tch move and then tried to fool you into believing that they were the good guys (Cyanogen Inc.)

this phone is going to kill the middle end phone industry. I do not have any friends that own a note 4 and s5, however I have a ton of friends posting photos of the oneplusone, since the price is just 500 bucks (unlocked version and only unlocked) rather then a nexus6, which will cost over 700 dollars and the note 4, which is 850 dollars.

So I was right, there is a separate OS 11S for the Indian variant.

You can easily flash to the global 11S ROM and get the updates but then again whats the point? Cyanogen has sold out. I will be moving to the home grown OPO lollipop ROM. They will get their camera app right unlike Cyanogenmod

So now there are going to be 3 softwares available for one plus one
                          1) Oppo Colour OS for chinese version
                          2) CyanogenMod for Global version
                          3) and One plus One own software in d indian version though it comes preloaded with Cyanogen.

This clearly means tht the updates are going to be delayed by quite a bit. And Indian version will be left ouy in the cold.

come on, if its just the same OPO in india, just flash the CM firmware, and you'll be just fine. Just download the updates manually instead on the OTA.

This is actually a good thing. One of the reasons I like a phone is because of the amount of alternate ROMs available for it - the OnePlus One is not just cheap, but it is going to have three alternate official ROMs with actual QA.
