"For your information Super AMOLED doesnt have those problem youre refering to." i said that because i know you read somewhere about AMOLED but when your talking about samsung galaxy phone, youre talking about SUPER AMOLED. Theres a huge difference between AMOLED anf SUPER AMOLED.
I have Samsung Alpha, this is one of the best Mobile phone of world. Is havet one problem (is irreplaceable)...
AnonD-213908, 10 Dec 2014Who cares about Gorilla glass? What, scratch resistance? That's what screen protectors are for... moreLol screen protectors. Haven't used one for a year. S4 was still scratch free when i sold it off. My nokia e7 sported the gorilla glass 1 and it survived multiple falls and it still has no scratches on the screen. Be a skeptic all you want, but thesw screens work. If you believe otherwise, go ahead, but it also shows you are ignorant.
AnonD-147044, 10 Dec 2014Good luck calibrating your AMOLED panel when it starts to show signs of wear. Those signs bein... moreHad an s4 for over a year (now it's with my buddy) and it's still the same as when i first bought it. Another friend's note 3 is also more than a year old and no tints can be seen. Yet another friend's s3 is 2 years old and the amoled screen is still rocking with no problems. I would know since i have plenty of friends using samsung. Not a single one of us has ever come across a tinted screen.
Well, nice of them to do this but are you serious? "Samsung is not only meeting these requirements, but is on the cutting edge of smartphone design." Cutting edge design?! You mean the metal band around the phone? WOW, so refreshing...
AnonD-232131, 10 Dec 2014This is false.

Global contrast tweaking won't work, and also the tint varies from brightness to brightness. you would have to do 100s of tweaks. no thanks. Samsung galaxy S2 was my first and my last device with AMOLED panel. It showed signs of wear after only 1 year, though I have to admit that I am quite a heavy user. Seriously even my 7 year old Nokia N95 doesn't have this, and it got heavily used too. LCD just doesn't get those problems. Sure it doesn't last forever either, but it seems to wear off more evenly and way slower.
I thought samsung would have improved the lifetime of AMOLED panels but my friend's Note 3 does now have tinted screen too, which it didn't have when it was new. I have yet to see a phone with AMOLED panel that is at least 1 year old and does not have a tinted screen.
AnonD-213908, 10 Dec 2014Who cares about Gorilla glass? What, scratch resistance? That's what screen protectors are for... moreYeah, but screen protectors degrade the screen quality. I never liked screen protector. I never drop my phone so I don't care if it will shatter or not.
Who cares about Gorilla glass? What, scratch resistance? That's what screen protectors are for. Impact resistance? Going to break with a direct hit regardless of 1,2,3 or 4.
Anonymous, 10 Dec 2014This has nothing to do with the Corning Glass. It's the display/LCD.amoled=led
Samsung is always first :D :D ehm money money
AnonD-142922, 10 Dec 2014the worst man worst .. show me those yours calibrating stuff ?? where is it?? Right in settings, then go display (or something like this). Galaxy S and Note series got this option, Note 4 got most accurate display (tested by displaymate.com).
About burn in - I still see people with Samsung S2 (many versions) and they don't have any problems with this issue. Also note that current AMOLED's are greatly improved compared to these of S2. Note 3, Note 4, Galaxy S5 have one of the brightest displays reaching 700 nits (you need to set auto brightness, otherwise it goes up to 300-400 nits).
Genuine hardware and genuine price could save Samsung mobile phone business otherwise now people have been started to give the appropriate lesson to Samsung as Nokia has been received earlier.
I couldnt believe so, went to the official website and.. http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/en/products-with-gorilla/samsung/samsung-galaxy-note-4
thats a surprise !

AMOLED screens are the worst in the industry - by far. The biggest disadvantage of Samsung phones. Samsung's best advantage is the removable battery.
"Aside from Alpha, the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also features GG4."
