I like the arguments you Apple people are making. I have both ecosystems and I pay for all my apps, I hate ads. I have to admit, Apple does have the upper hand at the moment. I spent lot's of money moving over to apple but it was worth it. I still like android because I like diversity.

It's a sign of weakness. Apple needs help and it shows. They are seeing the petite jump ship from Apple to Android or Microsoft. 15 percent market share to barely above 10. By this the next year it will be below 8 percent.

AnonD-265900, 11 Dec 2014IBM doesn't belong to Lenovo? No. IBM is a $200+ billion company, one of the biggest in the world.
They only sold their Laptops/PC division to Lenovo for $1.25 billion. The net worth of Lenovo is far smaller than IBM.
IBM offers technology options and implementations at the highest level and has one of the biggest research departments in the world. As of 2013, IBM has held the record for most patents generated by a company for 20 consecutive years

AnonD-265900, 11 Dec 2014IBM doesn't belong to Lenovo? Hell, no. IBM sold its PC hardware division to Lenovo to focus on mainframes and B2B. It's still going very strong, and is a much bigger company than Lenovo can hope to become someday.

I hear some people are trying to make it an endangered species, and protect it by law. But the problem is, it's too hard to prove that it exists in the first place.

Maybe we don't buy as much as an iOS user, simply because there are a lot of good quality apps that only come in a free (with ads) version. And most of the time the ads are non-intrusive so people don't care about them.

You know what, maybe you should stop using web sites like Facebook, Google, Twitter, GSMArena. Last time I checked these are all sustained by ads. You never pay for them...

Apple is a true leader. The android world only copies, from the start. Like full touch capacitive display, 4:3 aspect ratio. fingerprint sensor, and even 64 bit chips now.
