James, 13 Dec 2014Hahaha a mediatek from sony? Oh my god.. Xperia C was also mediatek and also had 5 inch display with qHD resolution, so this isnt a first from Sony. C has MT6589 Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 but the GPU in C is a PowerVR. If its true as someone has pointed out already that E4's SoC has a Mali 400MP2 then C is more capable in graphics but still underwhelming.

Anyway, at $200 people will expect LTE in Q2 2015, if this launches end of Q1 it is already outdated at arrival. Chinese and Indian brands are coming out with LTE models fast in the next few months, not to mention Moto, Xperia E4 lost already.

Also, just read recent.info released regarding patent infringements from China mfg! They don't engineer own products, just copy and cheat to top!!!

Haha, this is actually a downgrade IMO. Going from qualcomm to mediatek is a stupid move. Don't be surprised if this phone gets abandoned on 4.4 or a very broken 5.0 update.

Remember the Novathor-powered xperias? yeah, nice devices with TERRIBLE guts. And then they wonder why profits go down.

Not bad, a decent entry level phone, but I have a question. Will Sony ever made smaller (4 inch) phones in the midrange???? Nowdays they (and some other brand) makes only 5 inch phones, or bigger.

After C (MT6589), it's another Mediatek phone from Sony! Mediatek doesn't have QuickCharge technology, and their GPS sucks compared to Qualcomm IZAT and finally they don't reveal source code to end user so developers simply ignore mediatek... still only android one bunch revealed full mt6582 source code through google... hope sony will do the same :o !!!
