Though I feel bad for the guy who bought the iphone from you (as well as your Samsung a8 friend) cos you must have had to rip out the SoC then deconstruct it and analyze it to figure out if tsmc or samsung made it..

The iPhone 6 Plus 128GB that I've used for les than 6 days and could not tolerate it anymore and sold it to someone else, and guess what? It was with TMSC A8 CPU instead of Samsung A8 CPU. No wonder it was so unstable with many self restart. My other friends one Samsung A8 CPU was far more stable. Taiwan ROC products always low quality, just like the HTC.
Next time if I going to buy another new iPhone, I want to make sure it was with Samsung CPU before I'll buy it. With that concept in mind, probably I'll need buy only a pristine condition second hand iPhone7, which has been confirmed with a Samsung A9 CPU in it, and probably only got it a while after it launches. I know I will not be the first the have the new iPhone, but I'm surely guarantee for a better quality new iPhone :(

You seem so upset that your android phone was beaten little by little by iPhone.. Why not accept the fact or just buy an iPhone so you can feel the smoothnes and the power of iPhone...Customization doesn't help the good performance of the phone hence it will give more work load of the phone that makes the phone prone to lagg like your phone and brain..lol..

When you compare clockspeed or cores, it means nothing other then marketing gimmick. Use software benchmarks, you discover the power of the chip.
And when you use a iPhone you will discover the speed is true, and why S3 is lagging after a few installed apps.

I think you mean the iPhone chips are garbage, yes they are made by Samsung again but the chips they sell to apple are much slower than the chips Samsung uses in there own phones, for example my almost 3 year old Galaxy S3 has a faster chip than the barely 1 year old iPhone 5S, and being Android has And Always will be a superior phone if I overclock my S3 its faster than an iPhone 6

Simple fact of the matter is only Samsung can provide them with enough parts in large enough quantities, TSMC is good in all but they have sooo many contracts for AMD's GPU's, APU's and nVidia's GPU's and about a dozen more smaller contracts.
So there was no doubt that they would return to Samsung despite all this PR crap floating about. Also Samsung Semiconductor fabs are a completely different division of Samsung electronics.

Samsung are investing $3.9 BILLION which dwarfs the $578 million Apple investment in its failed Sapphire glass investment GT Advanced Technologies (which Imo was copying. Vertu ultra expensive PREMIUM and Apple?use Sapphire)
Re recent other comments Wi-fi direct Bluetooth NFC, Apple will never have media file share Apple have stated NFC will only be limited to Apple pay.
The few areas where an iPhone have a feature to match a Samsung flagship and achieves a better benchmark score is where the lagging mantra originates
It is an anathema that Samsung is manufacturing this chip for Apple and will come as a surprise to them that before TSMC, Samsung was the supplier.

Why would Samsung copy a phone first released in 2012?
Apple "added" 2 new features to the updated chip which was not on an earlier iPhone on each version.
Now all it needs do is change shape plus larger display to qualify as an upgrade, it does not merit "6" more "5SS" if it takes 730 days to go from the one on the left to the one on the right.

They weren't using exynos or any part of it in the A7..
In simple words.. Fabrication tech is how you put the pieces on the chip.. Like mediatek and snapdragon have quite a few socs fabricated using 28nm.. Doesn't mean they are based on exynos..
Do a bit of reading rather than blind fanboying.. Will take you a long way and not make you look like an idiot..
