Oh boy, here we go. That's how it started with the S3 too. And then it took ages to get the update.
Anonymous, 17 Dec 2014If no official Lollipop from Samsung for my S3, then never ever any more Samsung, or even any ... moreSorry but the S3 is approaching 3 years old. At some point manufacturers can't keep releasing the latest versions.
I don't know why they are changing the settings menu back to the Note 3 layout of multiple tabs??
The current Note 4 setup with a single page and short cuts at the top is great.
People need to stop whining about when the updates are going to come. The important thing is they will come.
Need the update ASAP. The factory ROM (and the subsequent update) is buggy and slow as for the Note Edge along with massive battery drains. Need Lollipop to work around the draconian SE Linux restrictions that was implemented with Kitkat.

Come on! Android 5.1 is coming in February but the Note 4 and the Note Edge doesn't received the 5.0.1 and saying that will jump from 5.0 to go 5.0.1
But what is the point?
According to the report, Android 5.1 will include the following changes: Silent mode added after missing on Android 5.0, General improvements in system stability, Improved RAM management, Fixes for sudden app closures, Improved battery management, Excessive consumption of network devices when used Wi-Fi fixed, Issues with wireless connections fixed, Problems with Okay Google function solved, Notifications problems solved, Some sound problems experience by certain devices fixed and Other improvements and changes.
If no official Lollipop from Samsung for my S3, then never ever any more Samsung, or even any Android, for me!
Just hope Lollipop 5.0.2 doesn't get released soon otherwise it's further delay.
You need to be that fast! Good one by Samsung....everyone must do that
