AnonD-108815, 22 Dec 2014Well, it sell quite nice here in developed country (Indonesia) :v
And don't judge thing bef... moreDon't judge the device before I've used it? How many Xiaomi devices have you handled? I've handled them ALL because I've been in China before Xiaomi existed so I've seen them grow from small Chinese startup while all of you didn't even know they existed to where they are today.
Hilarious you guys demonstrate just loyalty and almost exhibit proudness of owning a Xiaomi phone but what will happen when someone else decides to make a better spec'd phone and sell it for less? You guys will forget Xiaomi in a heartbeat -- that's what. Xiaomi's business model (if you call it that) is 100% dependent on being the cheapest in the market.

Xiaomi Mi-No, 22 Dec 2014Despite that Chinese products still can't be trusted. So where do these i4hoens being produced?
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2014Next thing you going to ask them sells in Artic or Greenland ??
Those so called developed n... moreYou don't get it (as usual, not surprised). They are the #3 "global" manufacturer of phones yet most of the globe can't even see or buy one. This statistic is totally skewed since their home market houses 1/6+ of the world's population. Subtract this one single market and all of sudden they've fallen completely off the list.
I think to be really classified as "global" you should at least be in more regions than you're not, which would include a mix of both developed and undeveloped countries.
I want to create Xiaomi knockoff-off phones
well done xiaomi,,, go kill samsung and then apple ;)

Congrats xiaomi keep rocking.
It's true that the bulk of their supporters are in China and being as populous as China is that counts for a lot, however, as a foreigner living in China and personally owning a xiaomi 3 for the past 9 months, I feel like they make good phones. I know a lot of people with them and they seem to fair better than their similar counterparts (Huawei/Lenevo/etc). They have a bit to learn with the styling but all in due time. I think in a year or two they will do very well in the NA market. Considering the price and the amount of tech. you're getting I think Xiaomi does it well. When you consider how much more Samsung, HTC, or Apple cost here. Anyway, I've converted a few fellow foreigners over here and they've all expressed only positive things to me at least.
Get some better designs both In and Out for your phones and service centres everywhere.

Those so called developed nation of your are tiny market with small population, why waste time there, when a few Asia market is enough to sent them to 3rd spot.
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2014Make crappy phones, get good PR and that's all you need to make tons of money...Have you ever used Xiaomi phones? Honestly this is the first time I heard anyone call them that. They're like the apple of China in quality...
AnonD-298939, 22 Dec 2014Take away their China sales and they won't even make the top 10, goes to show how dependent th... moreThat's a stupid point.. What is wrong in being dependant on their home turf? And considering that their home turf has the most competition in the price range they operate in they are doing pretty good.
Obviously they will have a hard time in developed countries (especially with developed ip laws)..
Take away their China sales and they won't even make the top 10, goes to show how dependent they are on their home turf which also happens to be the worlds most populated.
I really want to see Xiaomi launch its phones in a developed country just to see how it goes.
Despite that Chinese products still can't be trusted.
Make crappy phones, get good PR and that's all you need to make tons of money...
Congratulations Xiaomi.
