It's and more than just the final price that factors in when purchasing an Apple product. You get customer care that is class leading.
Is $1000 a lot for a phone? Who's to say? I just spent $2800.00 on a new 4K UltraHD TV. Couldn't it be said that is a ridiculous amount just for a TV?
It all comes down to what you can and can't afford. I'm not really sure I see the point of complaining about what consumer products cost??
Goods are only worth what people are willing to spend on them. So far it seems that Apple has no end in sight.

I'm sure the Marshall plan and the reforms the SCAP brought to Japan played some role in their recovery. Also, for every Norway you have an Argentina or Zimbabwe. Devalued currency is a very bad thing.

Why should anyone care about Apple's products in Russia? Especially considering that all products sharply increased in prices there, not only Apple's and not only mobile devices.

In Romania the price for 16GB ip6 is 854EUR at vodafone today.
That is 1050 USD...
