That has to do with a far deeper OS than any others by a mile. Listen if you want a basic fast os that is for simple minded folks go with wp or ios. Tw while slightly laggy on rare occasions is still far more useful than even Googles own basic os

But, some QHD screens do not necessarily slow a phone or suck battery. They might be optimised not to do so.
5 inches full HD?? 2013 specifications in 2015, sorry
at 144.3 x 69.4 x 9.56 mm I think 69.4 would be too thin. This makes the phone look narrow even at 5".
I prefer phone width 70+ mm its better wide screen!
AnonD-344502, 23 Dec 2014To all the fanboys says he qhd is a waste and a battery drain the note 4 says hello.. Maybe i... moreGood point, lots of people around this site seem to think that QHD use more battery because of the GPU, they have no idea how easy it is to push pixels in 2D, such a difference would not occur unless it is 3D graphics on screen, and even then the difference evens out because the 1080 display would have a higher framerate than the 1440 one, thus the GPU consumes the same amount of electricity.
The reason QHD usually uses more battery is in the LCD display, each subpixel is far smaller and lets less light through since the electrodes will not be much smaller and there will be many more electrodes, each of them blocking a little backlight. To compensate for this loss the backlight has to be stronger. Note 4 being AMOLED does not have that problem but then another question is how long will so small OLED subpixels live... Anyway, QHD LCD panels will be great once they shrink the electrodes, lets wait and see how the new Sharp displays are, the problem may already have been fixed.
Thank god it's FHD and not QHD, I'm sick of that piece of mildly better screen slowing down the whole phone and sucking up a large proportion of the battery. Keep it 1080p, nice, clean, powerful.

I don't care about 2k display but I want 5.5 inches and a thinner bezel.
Am i the only person here who thinks that QHD screens r not required in smartphones....i prefer a 1080 p display with snapdragon 810 which will provide superior performance and also better battery life...just my opinion...;)

I cant get myself to think of Z3c as a high end phone in any way, it has a overkill chipset and then what else? Z3c and Galaxy Alpha are clearly midrangers with a SoC on steroids, good on paper but pathetic when you see them and use them. I have nothing against mid range phones but i expect them to be priced accordingly.
To all the fanboys says he qhd is a waste and a battery drain the note 4 says hello.. Maybe it's useless on an inferior phone like the g3 but if done correctly it turns into the best phone/screen on the market
FHD it's a great display 1080p better for smartphone
why we need Qhd it's fail on lg g3
Good job htc i agree with all your specs just the flagship should be thiner than
9 mm
Why's the battery so small? How is 2850 reasonable?
Its is good they have reduced the height of the phone which was my only mayor issue in the M8 due to that silly black bar. Hoping the new one is flush with the boom speakers.
I would have preferred 5.2 display with less bezel and a 3600mAh power supply. These are very possible. FHD is fine on a phone - will mean better gaming, less battery usage.
Whats so sad about 1080p display? Seriously, can someone explain it to me? I mean SERIOUSLY, not just telling me a 600+ ppi sh*t.
This 5.0" screen has almost the same height dimensions (2mm shorter only) as a 5.5" phone. Another failure in design... Why do they make such tall phones? Sames goes for the One Plus One.
Author is probably a kid who is in the spec race. Best decision ever by HTC with 5 inch 1080p screen. I hope the battery life is decent enough. Wish they had gone for a 4000mah battery at least. Won't might the extra bulk if the phone can last 24 hours on heavy use. I hope they make a power user version with 4000-5000mah battery. That is what you expect from a high end phone to last on heavy use

That is why, considering today's scenario, say if I had to choose between the Z3 or the Z3C, I'd go for the Z3C. That is because both have equivalent hardware, however the Z3C trumps the Z3 afa visual benchmarks are concerned.
Simply said, it is easier to push 720p than 1080p, so you'll have a super smooth UI experience.
