Digital Camera's are cheap enough nowadays, so I don't understand why people hold out for the "ultimate camera phone" when a standalone camera wipes the floor with all of them. A camera phone is just handy to make a quick snap, on the fly, so to speak. The N86 does a great job in low light conditions and doesn't white out your photos.

So while the absence of Xenon is the ONLY point, it is unfortunately the deal-breaker. You are wrong, I won't wait for the next Nokia xenon, I will wait for the SE Idou. Sorry Nokia!

The N86 beats the N82 hands down on useability, photos in daylight, screen, video, internet speed and it has a FM transmitter.

Xenon flash is useful, granted, but if it's the only argument you've got as to why the N82 is superior then you really should be staying quiet and wait for the next xenon nokia.

Come on!! Nokia should stop spending money in trying to make the N86 what it will never be, and they should focus in coming up with new decent, competitive devices!!

The N82 has been on the shelves for about two years now! The point is: a much newer phone has to be much better than its previous siblings in all fields. And the N86 simply isn't. Nokia has shot his own foot with this phone. If a phone is good, there's no need to promote it like that. It will be promoted by itself.

I have a N82 and an Omnia HD. Night pictures are much better with the N82 because of the xenon flash. I doubt the N86 can take better pics at night than N82. N86 has no xenon flash and with no xenon its almost impossible to beat N82 night pic quality

Dear all who are saying that Nokia N86 is a bad camera phone please check the link below
                    http://www.allaboutsymbian.com...ng _I8510.php
Nokia N86 is a far better than all other camera phone in terms of colour accuracy, detail, night photography..I have seen some photos in flicker..the photos looke like real digital camera picture. So good work nokia. Nokia is promoting this phone just because few dumb people want to stick with their samsung and sony crap...they should know what is actual photography....N86 is far better in low light photography and colour accuracy than I8510...you can check these in the link given above...so thanks nokia making this phone...

The main point is xenon and not because LED cant provide adequate light but that XENON FREEZES motion... I do not want my night photos to be spoilt by BLUR. You can't ask people to freeze for you all the time... especially kids move and you want to take the photos of natural scenes, not just organized snapshots... So XENON rules because it freezes motion. AS SIMPLE AS THAT
