If low ranking HTC entry level phones would price below World No.3 Xiomi/Lenovo, then people will be interested, which they should as all of them belong & come from China.

Maybe HTC will make compact phone like Sony Z1/3c ? Very good performance, v.good removable battery, very good camera with Xenon flash and camera key. But not with glass like Sony, better case - thickness can be even little higher, radio, wifi. Compact means 4.2 - 4.5 + easy to change OS.

Hope they get the formula right, should look up to Moto G,Zenfone 5,Honor 3C and Xiaomi Redmi1s if they want to compete.Honestly I love HTC(my first smartphone is Desire)but as I am a student,I can't afford top of the line smartphoneS.
Zenfone 5 is too good of a deal, even though I want a HTC,their budget range sucks.

                HTC has becoming like Sammy.
No update for old models such as HTC ONE Max.
                Avoid HTC!
For sure HTC will be gone very soon.

This is not good, HTC has proven to be a complete failure at entry level, the Wildfire was rightfully awarded as one of the worst smartphones ever made, maybe THE worst.

Entry-level = Less need to push updates

But HTC's after-sales service is already garbage to begin with so I guess people won't really notice a difference.
