jay, 10 Aug 2009great design.. except i'm not used to d-pad on left.."great design.. except i'm not used to d-pad on left.."

The D-pad SHOULD be on the left side. All game controllers and portables, including N97, have it on the left side.

Actually, it's not Moto's fault that Android is an unmature and flawed OS. The lack of video call and voice control functionalities is because the OS doesn't support it. The same thing for the low-res screen, and few colors.

It's going to be released on T-Mobile with a subsidy plan so it will be pushed in stores. Plus people will view this as a "proper g1" because of the keypad. I'm excited for this phone!

Moto is a "telecommunication" company, not a camera company. (interesting to see so many so call "phone" companies emphasizing how strong they're in terms of "camera" when only a few actually makes cameras)

Roy, 10 Aug 2009Lacking behind. + bad design. Motorola are still below the others.Motorola certainly is behind certain brand in terms of capturing enough background noise on the I ? Music company's bar phones to the point the person's own voice can't be heard.

Doubt Moto will ever "catch up" with its Crystal Talk technology...

HVGA resolution implies that the phone is based on Android 1.5. Fortunately, Android 2.0 will support FWVGA.

Not innovative enough besides the OS change, but it's step in the right direction to catch up with the others, even though it looks like a knock off from any given 2008 Samsung slider. And i hope for gods sake its not gonne be blue end pink like in the pics, hideous colorcombo.
