Yeah, HTC is greet!
I hope they will have the specs:
- 5inch for there flagship. And for mini should have 4.7 inch.(QHD, 5k-ppi)
- 32/64GB internal
- 4GB/5GB RAM
- 16MP or 32MP Camera (Front & Back)
- 5000mAH Battery for Li-po & 3000mAH Battery for Li-ion.
Oh, an batteries degrade over time even if you don't use them, so 2 years with light usage or even no usage and its life will still be degraded. And with very heavy usage current phones don't even last a day, so its lifespan can easily be under a year
x, 29 Dec 2014Dude! are you even listening to yourself. Scam?. seriously? Li-po unlike Li-io batteries have ... moreNo, they don't have higher charge cycle. And it will be "up to 3 years" if you are a light user (Which contradicts the choice of buying a flagship) and also if you don't mind using it with a reduced capacity. For a heavy usage it may last just a year (365 cycles).

Li-po unlike Li-io batteries have higher charge cycle, so your battery will last upto 3 years(depending on the usage) and getting it replaced in service canter is not as expensive as you make it sound. Removable battery is useful only for swapping in emergencies.
Smile, 29 Dec 2014Well..THe battery is non user removable..but its still removable, just get it replaced at HTC ... moreSimple option my friend. You don't like it you don't buy it.
Plus, you'll have to have a second phone to use it until they are finished replacing your battery (I really doubt they'll do it right away). Extremely inconvenient...just unacceptable
Smile, 29 Dec 2014Well..THe battery is non user removable..but its still removable, just get it replaced at HTC ... moreRight, how convenient, HTC center (Because they really made it that hard to replace and is usually impossible for a "regular" technician to do it). You'd have to pay ridiculous amount of money. Still as unacceptable as if you have to throw the phone out.
Non-user replaceable - a scam and an insulting practice. No self-respecting customer would pay so much money for such a scam. Too bad there are not enough self-respecting customers, there are mostly consumers ("Ohhh, a new shiny device, i want it no matter what").
Anonymous, 29 Dec 2014It's because of thwe speakers, so it's OK (While with Apple it's just ridiculous design). What... moreWell..THe battery is non user removable..but its still removable, just get it replaced at HTC Service center

Noel, 29 Dec 2014I agree with the use of a 1080p screen but wish it was 5.2" instead of 5.0". Until b... morethe 2k screens work fine on my galaxy note 4 all day long, that being said, 2k is simply a marketing ploy, it is not needed on such a small display, you might see benefits on a tablet, but i see no difference in day to day use between my note 3 and my note 4, except on the note 4 the screens colours are brighter, but that's simply because mainly the wallpapers are bright colours. 2k content does not look any better then 1080p, unless you sit there with a magnifying glass or microscope to see the pixels.
I agree with the use of a 1080p screen but wish it was 5.2" instead of 5.0". Until battery tech is greatly improved 2K displays are just a drag to a phones battery life. I mean 2K screens on a device with a 4000+mAh battery is ok. There are a few battery techs on the horizon that may come to fruition in a few years.
Oh about the device in question (Hima/M9), I hope to see minimal bezels and a good battery life if the battery isn't replaceable as expected unless HTC spring a surprise on us.
I am interested to see what the two OEMs LG and Samsung that I am sure will bring us flagship devices (LG G4 n GS6) with replaceable batteries are cooking.
Anonymous, 29 Dec 2014It's because of thwe speakers, so it's OK (While with Apple it's just ridiculous design). What... moreNon-user replaceable doesn't mean non replaceable altogether. You could always take it to service center and get the battery replaced.
I'd never buy a HTC again after the Desire 510 experience I had what a pile of brown stuff that was and HTC customer service is appalling.
I saw on another post that is rumoured to have a 2850mAh battery, is this really sufficient for a modern flagship???
I really hope they increase the bezel size even more, makes the phone super comfy to use. Also please stick with the Ultra Pixel Camera and make it 2 MP now. Oh and screen size 4.3 inches would be perfect.
Hope they stick with 5 inch screen, reduce the bezels & improve the camera. Rest all was fine with M8.
AnonD-4340, 29 Dec 2014Battery life doesnt help when the phone is long as a stick. The way HTC and Apple build phones... moreIt's because of thwe speakers, so it's OK (While with Apple it's just ridiculous design). What they need to change is removable battery. It's ridiculous such an expensive device to have the lifespan of its battery. You don't replace your car when the battery needs replacement.
AnonD-4340, 29 Dec 2014Battery life doesnt help when the phone is long as a stick. The way HTC and Apple build phones... moreWell atleast HTC Hima is shorter then the m8 accoring to the recent leak. I bet they made them bezels much thinner. Can't wait to trade my M8 with Hima #Excited 😍
AnonD-113282, 29 Dec 2014Good you don't need a 2k screen on a phone. 1080p is all you need. battery life should be good... moreBattery life doesnt help when the phone is long as a stick. The way HTC and Apple build phones these days is insanity, they dont go all the way up to the display sizes of the other brands but still comes up with longer phones. Ridiculous.
