AnonD-4340, 29 Dec 2014So it still 5 inch, good, but the size remains that of a 5.3 inch phone, not good. From a HTC One M8 owner, I have no problems with it. And my hands aren't big...
Saudi , 29 Dec 2014What of the battery? HTC has been known for batteries with low capacities. the HTC One M8 battery is not bad. It can be less than S5 or G3 in numbers, but that time of bad battery as One X is completely over. As it will remain with 1080p, will have 64 bit system and a newer processor, it sure will have at least 33% better battery life, even if they continue to use 2600mAh.
AnonD-90736, 29 Dec 2014Well done HTC on being so boring as usual. 5" is so small, ruins the device, and where ha... moreEvery phone has its public, but you you like a 6.4" phone, you should buy a tablet, not a phone. As HTC already have big phones, 5"~5.2" are just perfect. More than that, go buy a phablet or tablet.
Anonymous, 29 Dec 2014Yes, sealed batteries are better... for the phone makers. Who cares about longevity when there... moreIf you one time need more than a battery time round, you can use external chargers. HTC M8 already provide one-day single charge use, so you only have to charge it when you are sleeping. If you do really use your phone, there's no one that you can use for 2 days. Sealed battery gives the best design, as a HTC owner are proud of. Battery is not the problem of HTC M8. Just put a 13+MP and 4K recording that there will be no disadvantages on M9/HIMA
now the price must be right, for having lack on any 2k and phablets specs i think we need to have cheaper flagships
luks lyk htc is using a much wiser stratergy........ it mi8 lack a 2K screen or a phablet traces .....but on closer luk u mi8 notice dat if 2K display does come wid it.... its goin 2 b a little hefty......20.7MP +13MP, top notch 64-bit 810 processor, CAT.6 LTE(TBC) .....all dese r d major battery juice consumers even though d 810 will come wid 4x 1.5GHZ power savers..... nd wid a 2k screen u mi8 just hav 2 carry a turbo chrger in ur pocket :/ provided d battery capacity dey put in a 5incher wid all dose slim body nd metal chassis..... nyways its going 2top d benchmark charts.....so a FHD screen shudnt b a problm (y) . ...nt 2 mention dey debuted it nd dey r getting quite gud at it
AnonD-292864, 29 Dec 2014If they put a user replaceable battery they can't make it metal. Plastic with user replaceable... moreAnything's possible. Extremely difficult, perhaps, but definitely possible.
the specs are perfect, good work htc.
5.2" screen would have been perfect!
HTC i think it is the best company which create smartphones,I really like all its phones and specs of its phones, they achieved very much BoomSound is very cool,Motion Launch is smth good ,they really work intensive to create the best of the best.I believe that Hima also will have the Motion Launch.I am their best fan ever.

I agree. Phone screens have gotten ridiculous. I am huge fan of HTC and for once I'm proud of them for not increasing the size of their next flagship(hoping not anyways). 5 inches is still a little big that I'm used too but its still better than something 5.5 or bigger. I prefer 4.5 or smaller myself. If all these leaks are true this sounds right up my alley with the 3 GB ram, fine with the full HD and the size. Excited to hear also that HTC will finally embrace a higher resolution camera as well. Looking forward too. I skipped the M8 because to me it was not an upgrade from the M7 that I have so this next evolution I'm quiet excited about.
This Device will give 4GB of RAM, QHD (1440 x 2560-pixel) SAMOLED display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protect.
People complaining about the screen size should buy a plasma tv instead if they want bigger screens. 5inches is perfectly fine considering a "mobile" phone should be compact enough to fit in ur average sized pockets. And props to htc for not going for a QHD screen as it would have only decreased the battery life without changing the sharpness.
AnonD-274519, 29 Dec 2014I'll probably go for the LG G4/Note 4 next. I've had enough with these small screens. :)I've had enough of large screens! They're only good at home.
When outside and it's cold or somewhere else they're just so tough to take out of pocket and use with gloves. They're not easy to store in a pocket and they tend to slip out of pajamas. I bought an S5 and I'm happy with the size (could be more compact though like the G2). I'm selling my Oppo Find 7a for its huge size.
AnonD-155275, 29 Dec 20145 inch is small? Go get a Z Ultra thenI'll probably go for the LG G4/Note 4 next. I've had enough with these small screens. :)
HTC with this new super model, have to be old fashion with FHD screen
5inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 810, 20.7MP Rear and 13MP Selfie camera! Throw in a 3000+ mAh battery and we have the bestest phone! I guess HTC is listening and positive for a change.
