Good to see the display is 5 inches and 1080p full. 2K is pretty much useless. Finally HTC has listened and didn't go for the UltraPixel crap. This is going to be a beast!

AnonD-346386, 29 Dec 2014I don't really mind a phablet, to be honest. I am actually considering Note 4 right now, as it... moreNote 4 is a good device. But it is a good $200 overpriced. And Note 3 is priced correctly now for what it offers. But anyway, if you have enough money to get Note 4, why not? That is the best Android has to offer, right now.

Well done HTC on being so boring as usual. 5" is so small, ruins the device, and where has your one max successor gone? I'd like a 6.4" display just like my stunningly beautiful Sony Z Ultra, but HTC are too boring to do that.

AnonD-4340, 29 Dec 2014So it still 5 inch, good, but the size remains that of a 5.3 inch phone, not good. yes but, that 5.3 inch phone, doesn't have 2 amplified speakers :)

What of the battery? HTC has been known for batteries with low capacities.

20.7mp shouldn't be an ultra pixel sensor anymore.

AnonD-58102, 29 Dec 20141080p is great news! QHD is a waste! 3GB RAM though, not great. Should've been 4GB.Lollipop comes with anew runtime that makes any non-native application (which about everything that is not a benchmark or game) use less RAM by default. 3GB is plenty.

I will always have a soft spot for htc because of the evo 4G era. The M series has been pretty popular, but I haven't been a big fan of their design decisions these last couple of years.

Great specs. This will be a beast. More than 1080p display is useless. There is no difference between a 1080p and 1440p for human eye anyway. 1440p will just cause fast battery drain and low performance.

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2014What would make this phone perfect is if the battery is at least 3000mAh and is user-replaceable.If they put a user replaceable battery they can't make it metal. Plastic with user replaceable battery or metal with with a sealed battery i think metal with sealed battery is better.
