I know their laptops have a reputation of being of pretty good quality. Do their mobile phones have the same reputation? I'm not as familiar with them.
My biggest complain from the original zenfone design was the thick bezels and they've fixed it. They made it has a metal back, curved, with under 4mm on the sides. It's awesome! And it took me off guard on the price. Asus is going wild this year.
I think following.
Intel z3580 64bit futureproof
good gpu!!! at least for 1.5 year
4gb ram futureproof
lollipop ou of the box
and of top of that PRICE!!!
for camera part i expect 8mp quality so addition pixelmaster and bla bla technology well
this is one hell of a phone for that price.
i'm spending mine 250 on this phone and not 700-800 on sd810
but what i really want is broxton phone NOW!!!
$399 is going to kill. I wonder what this means for the pricing on the 14mp PureView Lumia 1330 that we just read about.
Asus did really well here.
android ,same all with the new look, nothing can beat iphone 6 even the new android models in 2015
The back reads "with xenon flash". Hoping to see this go up against the K.Zoom, L1020 and Lumix CM1
AnonD-90736, 05 Jan 2015What a load of rubbish, their phones are second rate, none of their phones are premium in anyw... moreMaybe you don't read well because "1.5 million Zenfones a month in Q4 last year" sounds like something of note. And what is "average" about 4GB of RAM?
Wow that's amazing.
Great new Intel flapship processor and 4GB RAM !
I wonder how much the 4GB RAM one costs.
What about NFC?
AnonD-185880, 05 Jan 2015These guys with a few other manufacturers wont be in the mobile business for much longer. As m... moredude, asus is the biggest manufacturer of pc motherboards. they are not some naive upstart trying to find footing. they are too good to fail.
Good news for consumers and bad news for market leader Samsung Galagy.
AnonD-90736, 05 Jan 2015What a load of rubbish, their phones are second rate, none of their phones are premium in anyw... moreLook at the price range. At $199 those are killer specifications. I don't think they're competing with flagships just yet but for their target market, those specs blow.
The world does not focus on flagships all the time you know.
AnonD-90736, 05 Jan 2015What a load of rubbish, their phones are second rate, none of their phones are premium in anyw... moreYour comment is somewhat rubbish..
The Zenfone is in no way a "flagship killer" or a high end device it's a 250$ or less smartphone and for that it does a surprisingly great job. It feels great in hand and it's really responsive.
What are you expecting more ?
5.5 inch screen? Bye-bye Zenfone 2. Resonable screen size is 5" as for me.
These guys with a few other manufacturers wont be in the mobile business for much longer. As much I would like companies succeed, I'm skeptical about Asus. Their laptops are average and have build quality issues, their smartphones are also rans and just look too similar to others (i.e LG, Motorola etc)
