HTC has failed in the camera dept. I got the m7. camera had purple glare glitch. HTC shunned me. A friend got m8 and the same problem. stay away. besides there are countless other options.

WARNING: Never buy HTC products, if you face any issues, they will take ages to repair the device. Worst service from HTC. HTC fooling their customers, one service center for state, where they don't have patience to hear the issue or concern. Sick of HTC Service.

No they are 4mp but the ultra pixel technology allows them to capture more light through lens so the quality of images gets enhanced......
This could be useful in low light situation....
