How anyone can seriously give these a good rating is beyond me. I am in the industry, and have been repairing electronics for over 25 years. I am an electrical engineering graduate with experience in the electronics manufacturing sector and have worked on military projects.
These phones are complete junk. Any Alcatel is junk. This is a get rich quick scheme run by investors that bought a known North American name and proceeded to sell junk phones that are no better than what is given to the poor in India FOR FREE....
They are NOTORIOUS for not even lasting through the first year of a contract.
I advise customers to toss them in the trash whenever brought in for repair. They are archaic design, still using soldered wires to connect internal components, most of which break loose at the solder joints in the first year of normal use. Warranty is non-existent beyond the provider doing goodwill, and this is about the ONLY repair I will do. This is 1990's technology minus the quality. TERRIBLE quality control. Buy a used Galaxy S2 or iPhone 3GS for $60 on-line....you will do MUCH better with it, and they will last MUCH longer, despite their age.
