AnonD-325283, 08 Jan 2015may be the SD card restrictions in KitKat are preventing people from adapting KitKat...That holds me back. Altho I think I have solved it for my purposes on a new tablet that came with kit kat on it.
As a Nexus user, KitKat > Lollipop. But Jelly Bean 4.2 > KitKat. Lollipop is rubbish so far.
Even Jelly Bean is still better than iOS 8.x.
Has any version of Android gotten over 50% in the last 5 years?

Both Nexus 6 and 9 are not available worldwide. That's the reason why are they not popular.
And of course Google never learns on their mistakes. The had so many years to develop distribution system, but still it's nowhere to be seen.
Well done KitKat! It only took you nearly 2 years to reach 39%!
If we take into consideration the different irritation of Android like 4.4.2 and 4.4.4. I have never used the latest version of Android in my 5 years instinct.
"KitKat is now more than a year old and it still hasn't managed to cross 50%, so it will take a very long time for Lollipop to rise, that's pretty much a given." Could not have said it any better. Makes perfect sense.
