My s5 updated to 5.0 two days ago and since then has been slow, has randomly restarted multiple times and doesn't react to screen orientation changes. The phone is now so sluggish and frustrating to use i am seriously considering getting an iPhone (and i never thought I'd say that! )

Awesomenesss, 13 Jan 2015Why is Samsung so hell bent on Touchwiz..they have a good hardware...a little design change an... moreBecause touchwiz apparently had so much innovative features that Google started to copy them. Like DnD-mode, battery-saving-mode etc...) All features that were embedded in TW first.
So I too had to change my mind about TW when read how much Google stole from Samsung to put into Android 5.0.
In fact I see no reason to upgrade to lolipop at all. Not in the least because every week there's some bug found that urges for an 5.0.x update that probably will never be sifted through to other devices except Nexus 6.

.. which defeats the reason why people would want to upgrade in the first place.
The problem is that actually the UI WILL be dramatically different. For instance you get the same ugly white dialer like every cheapo Samsung with an LCD-screen instead of the better for amoled suited darker one on high-end devices of past years. Battery life will be significantly shorter due to all white infused elements in Lolipop. It'll be a headache at night (or in dark places) literally. You'll cry to get back a darker themed Android on your AMOLed equipped S4/S5, trust me!

They don't need an update to be faster or more functional..... ;)

Janit, 13 Jan 2015what about lollipop update for galaxy grand primeForget about it mate. Your phone is too old. Samsung only supports their high end devices. If u want an OS uptade on grand prine u need to wait for the new handset. It shouldnt take long. They usualy relase new phone on a daily basis :)

Awesomenesss, 13 Jan 2015Why is Samsung so hell bent on Touchwiz..they have a good hardware...a little design change an... morewell I work in a phone shop and not kidding with you 90 percent of people who by the galaxies don't even know how to change their ring tones but they always go for galaxies over nexus 6 or htc and sony because they actually say they prefer the way the interface look on the galaxies. its like little occasions i meet a techno geek like me who knows more about phones, thats the only time someone will get like a nexus 6 but to be honest for an average user it seems touchwiz is perfect. which explains why samsung will keep it on because if 90 percent of buyers are just average users who are not into modifications, why will they change something thats making them money.
