Finally, got lollipop on my Nexus 7 2012. It downloaded automatically n didn't ask my permission.
I finally have 5.0.2 on my Nexus 7 2012...and what a mistake!
It didn't start well when it just downloaded itself without asking. There was no indication before or during, instead I was blaming my network connection for being even Worsthorne usual...but no, it was because of this rubbish being downloaded unannounced in the background.
Installation was s.l.o.w. A couple of times I thought it had stopped completely. I've used every version of MS Windows since 3.1 and it was worse than any of those. (yes even Vista!)
There's a small but definite pause before anything starts, assuming it doesn't hang in the meantime...and this it does often. It just slows so much it's actually quicker to reboot at times.
Visually its worse.
The recently used apps cards are harder to use the tiles previously used. Why change what works?
The keyboard is terrible. White wit tiny letters and no key surrounds. It also refuses to accept my personal dictionary which contains numerous hard to spell Latin words. That quickly got binned.
The notification bar is pants making everything more difficult to get to in the settings. Also it. Worked fine when split in two so what combine? Another example of 'visual refinement' used to by the programmer to say 'look I have changed something' instead of actually offering improvements.
I used to get the odd hang or slowdown on 4.4.4 but now it's a constant roll of the dice. I have no idea of an app will run smooth, or the keyboard will show, or if I can get to a utility to free memory for the 666th time in the last 3 days.
Basically it comes down to DO NOT UPDATE TO LOLLIPOP!
Considering this is essentially Google software running on Google device, and having had to wait for 2 months and 2 updates since its planned initial release date, it's not just a disappointment but a Disgrace.
TERRIBLE ... TERRIBLE ... TERRIBLE
After giving it a few days I'm now going to see if I can roll it back to kitkat before I throw the tablet in the river...
Downloaded new 5 version lost my 2 other e-mail accounts

I have Nexus 7 tablet. I have successfully upgraded OS with 5.0.2. However, I am facing system slowdown at every single function. Can anyone tell me how I can downgrade the OS to previous version?
Goggle search is always a second option. But, stil I would be glad to accept developer's suggestions.
Nexus 5 performance and battery is so bad with android 5.0.1, hope we get 5.0.2 soon and resolve it.

Got it for my nexus 7 2012. Exactly the same as 4.4.4, except everything has a white background and doesn't look as nice.
Oh, and the two notification bars have been combined into one, so everything's me CH more cluttered.
You guys still on 4.4.4 should be grateful.
