I've been using Sony ever since. What I hate from them is their costumer service and repair center are not integrated with their mobile department. They charge 20-30% on the price of the phone and yet it's very difficult to deal with their personnel.

Sony z3 and z3 compact are 2 of the best devises in the mobile industry. Design (although subjective) is very good, high built quality, displays are good, front facing speakers, great camera and incredible battery life. And on top of that waterproof witch I personally think is a huge deal.
I can get if you don't like sony but you can't argue that the have put up some great BALANCED smartphones.
On that note I am very excited to see what they can impruve with the Z4 series.
As for prices I can't talk about other countries but here in Greece sony's smartphones are always priced lower than samsungs or HTC (don't even mention apple).
Only a few chinese OEMS models are available and support is non-existant.
As for the 6 month release circle I think it's good because they always have a competitive product in the market and old version drops dramaticly in price for a more affordable option.
We are getting to a point where I honestly think if you can afford a highend 2015 phone you can't do any wrong. Hardware wise everything is better than 99% of people need from a smartphone and for that 1% they always have a galaxy note to go to. So apple, sony, samsung, lg, and HTC haters just get over it and enjoy the devise you persoanlly prefer.

Smile, 16 Jan 2015Just to get you out of your dreams, Sony Flagships are cheaper than Samesung & HTC & CrappleMaybe in your country. But not where I come from. Sony Xperia Z3 is in the Philippines costs Php34,990. A Samsung Note 4 costs Php37,990 or less depending on d reseller. Now who in his ryt mind would buy a Sony XZ3 in that price difference considerng d features of d samsung note? What m trying to say is dat ds coming MWC, when major players release der flagships, sony should put a lower price tag to sway d attention of potential consumers and die hard fans of other brands to consider trying a sony smartphone. Sony phones are undeniably beautiful but d price tag is deterrent.

No special features?
If this will flop, it's time for sony to stop producing mobile.
Sony should not realease midrange or even entry level smartphone this year.
The shoul do the same strategy back in 2013 when they sold 10M Z models.
They should focus on that they done in 2013. Focus on high end models(flagship trio, the Z, ZL and ZR)
2014 is their worst year.
There's no Successor to the highly praise SP.
Also for ZL and ZR
All midrange from 2014 were all flop.
The E1, T2 Ultra, C3, M2, T3, E3
Z4, Z4 Compact, Z4 Ultra is the last cards of Sony in the mobile industry.

I have Z1 Compact, and that phone is a phablet. Way too big, to handle with one hand, and/or call it "Compact".
I love that phone, but it is too big. So... Sony instead to make a REALLY compact phone, start to increase screen size. I guess Z5 Compact will be 5 inch, and the next compact 6 inch.
WHY, are every phone maker FOOL???
I, WE (people who buy "Compact" phones) DO NOT WANT another BIG phone, we WANT a SMALL one!!

> innovate...invest in r&d and discover niche features dat are exciting and unique
> create linkage with all cellular carriers in every country that d phones will be sold in
> improve aftersales support
> invest in aggressive advertisement of your smartphones
> train authorized resellers of the features of your phones and show how these features help them enjoy their lives better
By releasing your phones cheaper dan d competitors, u are inviting a larger consumer base who can afford and would surely buy ur device. Let those consumers do d talking ang proliferation of good news about how Sony devices are. In the same token, when your cheaper phones get cellular carriers' attention, they surely will subsidize ur devices for their postpaid plans. In short, build a fanbase dat consists of d masses. Let everyone see everyone using a Sony smartphone. Dat would only happen when you make your devices affordable to everyone.
