Sony can build its own chip like Sammy.. Hell qualcomm didn't even solve overheating issues.. Hands are already burning.. One day qualcomm chips catch fire..

My guess is that this is being pushed out semi-fixed, and will still overheat and throttle just like the 610 and 615 before it. I wouldn't be keen to be a customer of an early SD 810 device ...

Architecture matters, not the number of cores or frequency.

Adreno 430 in Snapdragon 810 has 288 shader cores clocked at 600 MHz.

                  AnonD-348333, 16 Jan 2015All hail the Nvidia X1 Beast..!!The mighty X1 takes up 5 w of power. It's made for tablet.

Comparing a tablet chip to mobile will be equivalent to comparing tablet chip to laptop chip or laptop chip to a desktop one.

Increase in power comes at the cost of power consumption.

Bet it's nerfed clock speed wise an the new mantra will be about bits instead of cycles.
Even when the competition and older Qualcomm kick its arse.
